LEGAL (IN)EFFECTIVENESS OF ETHNIC ANTI-DISCRIMINATION LAWS AND IMMEDIATE REPERCUSSIONS

This article aims to discuss laws that repudiate discriminatory behavior, in order to highlight that society, at the time of the study's preparation, rejects this type of conduct. It also aims to analyze the effectiveness of legal norms in practice, in order to establish a paradigm based on contemporary reality and verify whether these norms are, in fact, effective. Finally, the work presents some situations in Brazilian reality to substantiate that the full effectiveness of the rules described above is not yet being achieved in the manner idealized by both the legal system and the society that supported the creation of these rules to curb such discriminatory attitudes
